Learn to Trad Climb
This two day course would suit an indoor lead climber or sport climber wishing to progress to trad climbing on single pitch crags.
Our two day course will cover everything you need to know to become independent trad climbers and venture out trad climbing on your own.
To suit indoor lead climbers, leading at around 5+.
All kit provided except climbing shoes and harnesses with gear loops.
The course will cover:
- Learning about trad gear
- Placing and removing trad gear
- Building anchors
- Rope management
- Abseiling
- Learning about trusting gear placements
- Reading the guide book and grade interpretation
- Climbing and having lots of fun!
Two people per course, instructor to client ratio will be 1:2, only you will be on the course.

Trad refresher / skills improvement day
If its been a while since you have been trad climbing and you would like a refresher, or you would like to build on your skills and experience base, this one day course would suit you.
The day can be flexible and tailored to your individual needs.
All equipment provided except climbing shoes and harnesses with gear loops.
